Congratulations on your 2500Th post! Wow!
Another beautiful Alaskan view. The dead trees coming up out of the water makes such interesting photograph. I always love seeing the mountains in your images. So beautiful. In another beauty!

Such a refreshing Winter scene. The frozen river and the reflection of the trees on the water are pretty vivid and sharp. I like white snows against the bluish river because of the sky's reflection. I can see imagine this image on the wall as a big canvas. The framing is superb.

This is a beautiful landscape, the colors are so inviting and appealing and the reflections that we see are just terrific. It is somewhat surrealistic looking. It looks like a painting at times, not a photograph.

Hi Pat I remember that earth quake, so powerful. The trees are still standing bare now as a testament for all. I was a junior in high school but I remember it vividly. I could never forget the pictures of that disaster. I hope all stays calm. Thank you for sharing this wonderful reflective ( in more ways than one ) picture.

Gosh congratulations on your 2,500th milestone post!
Another lovely shot! I do think dead trees in water, although a sad sight, make wonderful photos and this is no exception. Excellent dof, the colours are so vibrant and blue despite it being a rather overcast day.

Wow! The sharpness and clarity in every little detailâ€"from the textures on the ground and bald trees to the softness of the cloudsâ€"showcase an incredible mastery of both technical skill and artistic vision. Well done!

This a spectacular shot, so sharp and well focused. Beautiful landscape shown in the background in contrast to the devastation shown in the foreground related to the floods and earthquake in 1964. A great contrast.

Pat,
A beautiful picture of the Placer River in Portage with the dead trees still standing after the floods in 1964 sixty one years ago! Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
