This is a very attractive piece of work. I can see your talent and appreciate the detailing and colour pallet management. The overall effect is "she is alive" there is movement in the pose and facial expression.

A very clear and realistic piece of art shown here. Realistic image and the black background keeps the attention on the flutist. A very nice submission.

Carl nice work, very challenging, just to do hands along with the upper torso. I think the left hand needs a minor adjustment. The flesh tones are natural, the pursed lips are just right. The image stands out nicely against the black background. Ray

Thank you for your comments and five-star rating. I appreciate both. I have considered changing that last little finger into a hooked position but think that since it is almost dead center of the painting that it would interrupt the visual eye pattern I have established. Now that it is dry, I think I will go back in and do a little touchup by darkening the palm area and the finger line separations. I have to visualize a little more before I do that because I don't want too much activity in that location which would interfere with the visual pattern flow. Ponder, ponder.

Jut add a little to the palm on the left side and You don't need to see the thumb because it is behind the fingers. I hope I have helped you. Ray

This is another great portrait of yours. I love the shading. I can see her muscles. I like her neck, and the shading makes the neck look real. I love her face. The flute is nicely done as well. Thank you for sharing.

a good piece of art and think the flute is underated as aninstrument,it reminded me of ray thomas of the moody blues who has passed away and was really good on the flute, that aside you have caught the young lady in a good mode of performing, thanks for sharing...Brian

A moment of pure stillness, this lifelike painting of a young woman playing the flute captures more than beautyâ€"it captures transcendence. Her eyes, half-lost in a dream, reveal a soul carried away by music. Your gentle realism draws us into her private world, where melody becomes memory. I do not just see herâ€"we hear her, feel her. This is not merely a portrait but a quiet symphony on canvas. Bravo! Here is my 6 for you. Cheers!

A very lovely visual presented here of this young woman playing the flute. Your composition, shades, colors, tones and textures are very well done and presented. I particularly like the dark background which highlight your subject perfectly. Well done.

Honestly, I think this deserves a 6, but I'm all out unfortunately.
This portrait of the flutest is very realistic looking. Your ability to create life like imagery by employing foreshortening is wonderful. The folds in her dress are also very realistic looking because of your ability to use shadowing and light. The tone and muscles of her arms are also very realistic looking. I like the way you have filled the frame with the focal point, and used a dark background to create contrast and make the subject matter stand out.
