I'm afraid I am not very good when it comes to recognizing types of flowers but I sure appreciate the beauty of them. I love how you've captured this bumblebee as it's busy collecting nectar. This is a nice try for an up-close photo of a bee on a flower. Unfortunately, everything seems to be out of focus, and not as sharp as it needs to be to show better detail.

This is a wonderful, close up of the bumblebee on what looks like to be an azalea. It's a great contender for the contest, since it is very compelling to look at thanks to its glorious, vividly colored subject matter.

Hi Brenda, If you could have gotten this a little sharper it would be extraordinary! I think by making the image so large it took some of the sharpness away. Even with the focus being off a little it's still an impressive shot! Love the luster of the wings. I know I've seen this flower before but I can't remember what it is. :o) Nancy

Glena I always appreciate your comments. The back of the bee was so fine and furry but I did aim for the wing details.
