This is an excellent capture of a beautiful piece of glass artwork. I'm glad you made it to the Biltmore before it was ruined in the flood. Or was it?
I was in North Carolina couple hours ago for an art conference and I'm so thankful I got to see Asheville and Black Mountain! It's all gone now. It makes me very sad.

Thank you. Just went the last week of January, after the flood during the last week of the show. It was sad to see places still boarded up and trees gone.

I like glass very much and this photograph definitely does it justice you've caught the glistening that the blue and green picks up light reflections and enhanced; the
background is also very suitable and makes the vase and it's contortions stand out; light
capture and details seem quite
perfect... glass is one of my
favorite items I used to have a big collection in a cabinet until
my daughter decided to move the cabinet without emptying it disaster!

Great piece of art and wonderful photography with excellent presentation.
I love the color especially with the diffused background and all the intricate details that were hard to create. You captured the lights and shadows nicely to present this piece for a winning price in the contest!

that is a very cool design the glass maker did on this vase's opening. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the neck of this blue vase is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall
