And now here it is . What people we're worried about arrived and die its things.
Nice shading that reveals all the details and the weather so well.
Good balance of everything that is going on. Pleasing composition.

Another interesting tornado drawing Devonte, I think I like this one even better than the last one. How incredible that it actually dug a 2 foot trench along its path!
Again good perspective in this drawing and good shading.

wow, just wow. A really powerful drawing of a subject matter that is sad. Quite the tornado. Your tornado certainly looks real. I can see the movement in the tree. It's a nice house that is on its way to being engulfed. Very nicely drawn.

Thank you so much! Luckily the house was speared. The tornado is actually a good ways behind the house

Your dedication to capturing the fury and historical weight of these devastating tornadoes through art is truly commendable. The way you document such raw power, like the Philadelphia EF5 carving through the land, is both haunting and deeply respectful. Your work ensures these events are never forgotten. Well done! Regrettably, I have run out of my sizes.

A good-looking nature image posted here, together with dramatic notes too! Your fine and classical composition gives us good view of that dramatic storm and location. Well drawn and good luck!

Wow!reading your notes abd viewing your artwork makes me so glad that we don't have tornados here in Alaska,
How scary Mother Nature can be at times.
You have illustrated this so very well to show the power of the tornado this day.
Very well created, arranged and presented!

Thank you so much! I didn't have to endure this because I don't live in this area. But I saw it on TV and looked at documentaries on this outbreak to see and understand the impact it had on the deep south during that time

Devonte, you have done a fine job depicting this category 5. So powerful that it could rip two feet of soil from the ground and rip trees to shreds. This iss very remarkable. Thanks for sharing your experience through your sketch. Ray

Thank you, trying to work on making them 3D and jump out at you

Devonte, By you having the tree standing in front of the tornado it almost becomes the main event. The tornado should be well defined and the house should have been partially affected, showing power. The base should be well defined as it actually is. Show the power of the tornado as it sucks in the surrounding incidentals. I hope this helps you. Ray

Yes, this helps! I got this from an actual picture from the outbreak. The house you see in the picture actually does not get affected by this tornado. As tornado is behind the house. So this house was speared fortunately!

Devonte, Just remember you are creating an illusion. Use the picture that you copied from, just as a reference. Why ? because the picture says it better than a sketch because it records a sliver of time of the actual incident. Drawing from a photograph, which many people do, is easily recognized because it looks flat and barely two dimensional. I did a portrait from a live model and it is on my site, check it out, it is of a professional female model. Let me know what you think of it. Ray
