Mark, this is a terrific entry for the contest. The viewer can empathize with the subject matter. It looks as though the adult is taking the child away from danger. Your cartoon is very engaging. And not just because of the subject matter, the bold, bright colors and the action that you portray keep the viewer looking over and over again, wondering what the characters are going through that they are so frantically trying to run away.

This is a scene from the in the works novel "An Abandon World" that i'm collaborating with Alexandra Trovato. I just posted another were she is doing a origin story on 2 of the characters. Excellent use of contrasting colors that makes this piece really sharp and well defined. An image with a story to tell, Mark. Another exceptional piece.

Well before the sharpie and bic marker I used to use the bic ball point pens only. Every now and then I'll sketch around with the ball point. Glad you have enjoyed this and thanks for the awesome review

Yeah Jewell I know exactly what you mean..that is why the contest committee ignores me. They vote on basic art 101 and imagination doesn't help. I have witness on one contest to they have voted away from topic.either way I will keep presenting my imagination and glad you have enjoyed this. Thanks for the awesome review
