Apart from your wonderful story telling the photo capture is excellent and quite captivating. I find details are clear: colours are vibrant and natural: the white of the swan is not blown. Angle is great considering you had to be quick. I enjoyed this post very much.

Hi Brenda, How often does something like this drop in your lap! LOL This was a moment I couldn't pass by! Love being in the right place at the right time! Just had to let everyone know what was going on here. I'm so glad you enjoyed it to the extent you did! Thank you so much for the off the chart review! :o) Nancy

Hi Nancy.. Add to that "and Patience".

Well, I was surprised and delighted to see something a little different from your signature work. And this one is a pip!

Be careful around these two. For they can turn on you in an instant. I know for I had to run me fastest to escape an irate Black Swan gander once.

this piece is really good photography. the exposure time caught and stopped all the action. the exposure is sharp and finely detailed.

Colors all look natural and not over saturated - Normal looking.

The framing is well thought out. All the necessary features are well documented and tell the story.

Thanks for a very interesting and breath of fresh air photo from helvi2... Bob

Hi Bob, I know I get carried away with my flowers, but I love being artistic with them. This was one of those shots I just couldn't let slip thru my fingers. I kept my distance but they were more interested in each other than me! The swan kept charging the goose every time he tried to enter the water. I would have thought after he chased him away from wherever they were, he would have been satisfied, but that was NOT the case. I'm so glad you enjoyed my side trip from the normal. Thank you so much for the great review! :o) Nancy

a swan and a goose walked into a bar and....lol..oh it sound like a good beginning for a joke. cool capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of these birds bitching at one another is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

Feathered foe is an excellent name for this photograph! As the swan eyeballs the goose and the goose looks ready to pounce at any given time. Thank you for sharing, beautifully done!

Hi Devonte, I have no idea why the swan was chasing the goose but he was definitely upset with him. Glad you enjoyed the shot! Thanks for the great review! :o) Nancy

Thank you for sharing your amazing story. I wonder what got that beautiful Swan upset but I can think it might be that it has a nest close by and and doesn't want this goose setting up home. Very interesting subject matter. Thank you for sharing.

You've captured an incredible moment in nature! The framing is well thought out, and the use of light and shadows adds both depth and character. The colours are vibrant, and the composition ties everything together seamlessly. Excellent effort!

Such an interesting scene. Looks like the goose is so territorial. I love just the scene per se because it has a story to tell. Excellent framing with greeneries on each side. Retention of natural colors. That white swan looks cute and the water ripples that encircles her is vivid and nice. Yes, right time and right place, Nance. A refreshing scene.

Hi Nieves, I think it was the swan that was territorial! He was chasing the goose! I'm just glad you enjoyed the shot! Thanks for the wonderful review! Sorry to hear you lost one of your siblings .You and your whole family have my deepest sympathy! Bless You! ::o) Nancy

Ha ha brilliant! I've seen swans fighting and I've seen Canada Geese fighting, but never a swan and a goose fighting each other! What a find!
Great shot too, with the swan's wings fluffed out and the goose's beak open (evidently swearing!) it really displays their dislike for each other.
Well taken, with perfect focus and dof, colour and composition both good too.

A good looking nature image presented here, together with interesting notes too! Your fine and classical composition gives us an good view of the situation out there. One can almost feel the tension between them. Well taken!

I absolutely love this, Nancy! You have included such an interesting story togo with a darling image and that's the ju d of photography or art I love. The kind that brings a smile. I think you should write a child's tale to go with it.
What do you call the offspring when a Goose and a Swan have a baby? A Gwan of course.
