A beautiful picture of this baby Hummingbird cradled on your hand the light sparkling in it's eye. After you you corrected it's wing dislocation. Taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus . Good luck in the Contest.
We have no Hummingbirds in Ireland. When I visited my uncle in Palm Desert I was able to photograph a Costa's Hummingbird in the garden and the Living Desert in Palm Springs.

Thank you, as you can see I was not restraining this hummingbird at all. Then my exam was done because if there was any fractures or other traumatic injuries then I had a harder duty to do, Gentle massage and repaired then the damage to the wing, Recovery done and the voice I am ready to go now, throw me up into the sky. That is so kind of you. I am sure he is fine and happy to be free again. Thank you I had one at home one and got it out through the door without injury but how stressful.

Thank you, trapped in our garage and I needed to catch him and be gentle. Saw a wing out of place. did my job and reduced it back into place and hope it could fly away on its own. Which it did.

Thank you, was trapped in our garage and climbed up a ladder tohold it. Wish I had a photo of my wife holding me up there by my behind. Obviously needed some repair and was able to examine the hummingbird till strong enough to fly away. Repaired the wing, if I couldn't the other option was on my mind and have crossed that line many times.

One of my patients. This one was not one to try and fight me as it wished. One time a tegu lizard had me trapped in a corner, lucky the staff came to my rescue then did surgery to remove a mass from its leg. Both of us recovered but did not want to see or treat another tegu.

This baby was trapped in our garage and needed help. caught it by the window, then did routine physical exam, no fractures, just a dislocated wind. Reduced it and hope it could fly away which it did.

Wow so tiny! We don't have hummingbirds in the UK, so to see this chick is a treat indeed!

Thank you, I think you know I am a Veterinarian and have treated many birds. Only two hummingbirds which kind of just came to me for help. Not many people could say they have treated, saved, and held a hummingbird, then watched them fly away.

Thank you, this hummingbird was trapped in our garage, climbed a ladder, and my wife was pushing me up so I wouldn't fall back down. I think you know where her hands had to be. lucky on both ends, the bird and her hands.

Trapped in my garage, flying against the windows. My duty to save it, climbed up ladder, now the funny part, my wife had to grab ahold of my rear so I didn't fall backwards. Wish I had a picture of that also.
