Thank you, Anta! I sat in the same location for about 40 minutes and got lots of photos, most of which had to be tossed. These birds may sit quite a while in one spot but are mostly hidden in the reeds.When they do take off they are quick and often fly into more reeds and can't be seen.

This is a stunning shot of this yellow headed blackbird. However, I think I might have cropped out a little more of the background on the top of the image in order to give us a closer view of this beautiful bird. Otherwise, it is a beautiful composition that is sharply focused, has stunning color and beautiful rich colors that are glowing from the glorious sun upon them.

Because the bird is so colorfull ie the yellow it certainly stands out amongst the reeds,nice wildlife shot,maybe if it had been more prominent it would make it even better,but apart from that a good one...brian
