Had to give you your deserved six on this one, it's definitely a work of art when you can capture the mood in your photo, so well done. On the technical note, I would lighten the shadows a bit, at least on my monitor it looks a bit dark and the colors are so beautiful in the lower part.

yes the macro does give less dof and therefore makes this flower stand out,simplicity comes across in this with no distractions although the background yellow slightly imposers but not to much...Brian

A very lovely photo which I would like to have seen a bit lighter in the background.
The softness is not a problem for me. Its just a tad soft which I like. The back ground is a bit distracting as it seems to fight against the main subject. Nice all around effort! Thanks for sharing.

A lovely artistic presentation of this rose bud. However the whole bud is not in focus, the background is lovely and would highlight the bud greatly if it were in focus.
