Very cool still life, very simple in design. What makes this for me is the use of complementary colors. Color theory has some merit!
If the plate were green for example I dont this it would have the same appeal, at least to me. Nice.

This is a great image. I love how you painted the bananas. They have a sense of real texture to them. I love the colors of the bowl. It really helps make the bananas stand out. The shading you used on the bananas is great.There is really good dimension in this painting. Thank you for sharing.

Wow Ray! I love that pink bowl that the bananas are sitting in. It actually shines like glass! Overall this is a really lovely still life. Foreshortening creating depth and realism is well done and the black contrasting background really helps the focal point stand out.

Aimee thank you for you wonderful review and technicals. I love bananas, I try to have one every day. I was cleaning off my palette knife an I noticed something that looked just like a banana and the rest is history. I am glad you enjoy it. Ray
