Great shot of this colorful boat! And a great entry for the contest. The way you have shot this leads the viewer's eye into the scene from the far right, mos third of the composition to the left most third of the composition. It engages the viewer and keeps the focus on the subject matter, which is sharply focused, has excellent exposure and is framed very well. I just have one question. I've noticed that everything you post seems to have been taken several years ago. Are you no longer doing photography, that you haven't submit anything recent? Just curious, you don't have to answer if you don't want to. Best of luck in the contest.

Very many thanks for your kind and detailed review! Pleased you enjoyed my photo. Most of my photos have been taken when we have been on holiday, but during the last few years this has stopped as my wife and mother-in-law have been seriously ill.

A lovely clear shot of the ferry boat as it is docked. Good focus and clarity and a beautiful background shown in the distance. I don't have fond memories of Long Beach, a lot of it is so industrialized and spoiled.
