A good shot of this waterbird about to pounce on its meal. However it is definitely not a pelican, they have a large pouch under their beak... this looks more like a species of Heron, of which we have many here in Florida. Great shot though and shows the intense concentration of the bird.

yep i think it is looking for lunch. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this bird hanging over the water hunting is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

A very lovely visual presented here of this pelican ready to capture it's meal. Your composition shades colors and presentation is very well done. Thank you for sharing.

Not a pelican in this one by the way, that aside the rope across so spoils what otherwise would have been an interesting one, maybe the position you took this you had no choice and better to get something rather than not take it,but it does tend to spoil the view...brian p.s. putting back half for the pelican

Yes it is a pelican! No the rope makes it as it was taken in a fully docked marina. You cannot take perfect shots in such a location.

A nice photo but rather marred I feel by the rope crossing diagonally across it causing the eye to drift away from the focal point - which by the way is a Grey Heron, not a pelican!!

I like the rustic and just the natural scene of this blue heron foraging with the pile of debris. Even the rope added a nice touch of classic scene in the beach. Great exposure setting and choice of landscape orientation. Point of improvement is just to really increase the focus, but overall this is already a refreshing scene.

This photograph tells a story that extends beyond the scenery. The textures, the atmosphere, and the mood all combine to create something truly evocative. A perfect example of photography as art!Well done!
