Good use of dof in this and the plain background does make the rose stand out in this of course being red also helps with this one,maybe i might have cropped a tad of the left in this...Brian

This rose looks like velvet. The tiny dew drops on the petals appear to be exactly the right size for the blossoming rose. The subtle background brings a relaxed nature to the vibrant rose.

So natural and elegant. I like the diagonal presentation and how the crimson bud created a striking contrast of the light green background. Excellent focus, lighting, and angle.
