Albert Richardson: about time to introduce myself. since i represent both the united states (citizenship) and italy (home), it seemed only appropriate to represent both in my profile portrait. that'll be changed once i find a halfway decent pic of myself. on offering here is a combo of the two most important (re: scary) men in my life at the moment - sylvio and donald, both who really should be exiled to some sort of devil's island and forced to live in the same cell, at the same time.
besides politics and retirement, the kitchen is a favored place to hang out, though most of the time i'm slapping oil colors on a piece of linen in an nine by twelve foot space resembling an artist's studio. pastel pieces are worked mostly outdoors, and photography kept to the computer. (thank the lawd we've been able to eliminate darkroom use, as that slight bend in the back over trays of slurping prints had wrecked havoc on the lower spine. i've been painless ever since purchasing a canon something-or-the-other some years ago.
came to fatherhood late in life and am now struggling to make sense of a fifteen year old's way of living. a headshaking challenge, if ever. i had originally thought that having a family would put artistic pursuits at risk, yet now find, although definitiely distracting, it has made matters easier, more simple. taken the edge off.
still adjusting to being a member of FAR, trying hard to understand what it's all about. meanwhile, nice getting to know you, my fellow partners.
suffolkbrian: Welcome albert to the site, you will get to know how the site works and will make friends on here, lots of advice and knowledge as well, you can never be to old to learn,as for your 15 year old, beenthere done that, both my girls are older and left home now,so good luck with that lol...brian -
Life is but a dream.: What a lovely introduction and your portrait profile photo is a hoot. Thank you for sharing of your life with the FAR family. I hope you enjoy yourself here and wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season. -

Albert Richardson: you know, when your mind is a long ways away making art, FAR becomes overbearing with all its avenues of things that must be done. like, saying thank you to supporters for their votes. it certainly is not from unwant that i've missed a few times. thank you, thank you, thank you!!! -
