This is a very nice macro shot. The focus is really sharp. The viewer can see a lot of deatail on the insect, such as the tiny hairs. You have good lighting. You have good contrast.

Only you could have made this "ugly bug" beautiful! We don't get to see how complex insects are made because they are here and gone in a second. You have gotten his false eyes very well. I do love the funny face, the tufts of hair and the pose of this insect. Good luck in the contest!
