An excellent close up that shows the amount of detail that some macro lenses would envy. Strong composition and good natural colouring. Mitch

In my opinion, it still 'qualifies' as a 'Macro' picture, but I employ the same technique as you to create it..and on the same type subject..If you look WAY back in
my portfolio you will see dragonflies done the same way. Nicely done and lots o luck in contest..God Bless

This is a nasty looking piece of work, without a dpubt, and your capture of him shows the insect at its grotesquely beautiful best. Great camera work, and a fine capture. Your exposure and focus is spot on, to the point that your shot has a 3D quality about it. Well done.

Well he is ugly in a dignified way. Even a fly must have feelings and I think you captured his. Delicate to look at and probably a pest but beautiful as well.

Thank you so very much! They don't bother people, or they have never bothered me. They prey on other insects. I am sure if he bit you it would hurt!

This is an awesome and fascinating picture the way you took it. He is sure ugly. The close up that you got is amazing. I agree the feet are neat looking. I like the way you see all the detail all over him. An excellent picture. Good luck in the contest. I would sure hate for one of these to land on me. They must be big.
