Cleo,
A wonderful digital painting of the Baltimore Oriole perched in the upper branches of a tree with yellow bark & flower spikes & narrow Willow like leaves. all making a beautiful contrast to the Oriole's black & deep gold/orange plumage the light catching the sparkle in it's eye as it looks above it. Created by your artist's eye for composition, very skilful digital painting techniques, choice blending & application of your colours in bringing this bird to life.

Absolutely LOVE the texture in this! The image is lovely Cleo! The Oriole is alert and I love his stance on the branch. The detail you add always makes your images special. I really enjoy stopping by to see what you've created. Love the angle you presented of the bird in the shot too! Very Cool Work My Friend! :o) Nancy

really beautiful image. excellent bird and special colouring in that beautiful body. it looks quite mystical but very natural to. such an exotic looking species and seems similar to the birds that feed on hippos and crocs (in africa).

This is a lovely digital rendering of the colourful bird. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

This is amazing art and a mystery for me. Digital art ...?
must see for myself. I often bypass these posts. They are often very good but I can't understand the technique of control electronically to get such good results. This picture here has vibrancy and impact. The proportions look perfect. The background enhancing the overall effect.

Thank you very much for your kind review. :o)
I use a program called ArtRage by Ambient Design. It allows to paint like on canvas or paper, just that you move the tools with your fingers. It is available on line. I think they provide a tutorial. Check it out. :o)

A nice looking male oriole. I like the setting and the diagonal placement of the bird. The colors are attractive but I can't figure out why you painted a kind of flare over his head.
