This is just precious, the sweet little girl sitting up on the boardwalk above the water, I like that she is barefooted and her toes are splashing in the water, she holds a flower that she picked from the clump that grows on the back side of the boardwalk.
This is so well created with excellent attention to the details , it's so well arranged and I appreciate the show of light and shadows,

I too love Robert Bateman. When I first started doing artwork, I centred on animals and wildlife. Now I’ve just extended myself to doing people and events. You’ve really touched my heart with your wonderful review. Thank you so much.

Maureen, I am always impressed with your beautiful work, using pastels. This little girl dreaming takes me back into the world of my childhood. Spent many days playing outside, daydreaming, and pretending, and that looks as what this little girl might be doing. Maybe she is you dreaming of being a famous artist one day?
This may sound kind of weird, but I think that you did a great job on the big rock. I find that rocks are one of the hardest things to paint. I don't really know why, but they are! Using the green background makes it appears as though she's sitting in a beautiful grassy area with your toes in the stream. Great job!
