This Ostrich rendering is one of my earlier ink stipple (pointillism) drawing where I first used the rapidograph pen. This is one of my attempts to really try and zero in on the eye to see if it could carry the piece and then to simplify out the stippling of the facial structure and still be dramatic enough to convey the essence of the bird.
